In the areas of Administrative Law and Public Procurement, NGA advises both public entities and private individuals or entities.
Expropriations are an important sector in the activity developed by the Firm, actively representing both expropriating and expropriated entities.
We have also extended our activity to the Energy and Regulatory areas, relying on several experts with relevant experience in these subjects.
Administrative Litigation
The Firm acts in all areas of Administrative Justice.
In a subjectivist Public Law, where the oversight of the citizens’ legally protected rights and duties are constitutionally established, NGA has a wide experience in all administrative procedural forms.
In the representation of public and private entities, we have advised on, among others, challenging of administrative acts, civil liability actions, conviction actions for the performance of due administrative acts, actions regarding contracts, summons and precautionary orders.
The firm has been also actively involved in arbitrations in administrative matters, particularly regarding public contracts, highlighting concession agreements, services contracts and acquisition of goods and works contract.
Public Procurement
Our practice team is qualified to meet requests from both contracting entities and private individuals, regardless of the pre-contractual procedure or of the administrative contract in question.
Assistance provided by us to public entities covers all stages of contract formation namely, the opening of pre-contractual procedures and drafting of the procedure papers, analysis of bids and contract awarding and contract performance based on a previously made draft.
In legal assistance provided by us to private entities we are actively involved during bid preparation, in the drafting of information requests, advising during preliminary hearings and on the negotiation of the contract draft.
Our assistance is not restricted to the pre-contractual stage. Services include the contract’s performance and termination stages and, whenever necessary, the litigation stage.
Expropiations
With a large experience in the scope of Expropriations, the Firm has been assisting both expropriating and expropriated entities throughout the entire process.
We assist our clients during negotiations and in the presentation/assessment of proposals for amicable expropriation agreements as well as represent the relevant legal proceedings whenever expropriation becomes litigious.
